Gearheads and globe-trotters, buckle up as a new Formula 1 season is upon us! Lando took the first race of the year in Australia and we are headed to China this weekend. Before arriving in China though, F1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali stopped in the land of smiles because Thailand is making a serious play to bring Formula 1 to the streets of Bangkok in 2028! Frankly, I am already doing donuts in my driveway. Just think about how surreal Formula 1 in Bangkok sounds. I mean, imagine those screaming engines echoing through the streets, those high-speed chases past iconic temples and shophouses, those champagne showers on the podium. I can’t wait to see the behind the scenes of Max, Lewis, and Lando competing to see who can eat the spiciest curry – with Alex Albon, the only Thai driver on the grid, judging of course.

So, what am I most psyched about? Well, for starters, the track itself. They’re talking about a street circuit that weaves through the heart of Bangkok, past the grand palace, temples, skyscrapers, and crazy bustling markets. Can you imagine the visuals? It’ll be like a high-speed tour of Thai culture, with F1 cars blurring under the BTS tracks and past and street food vendors. Maybe we will even have a TukTuk race around the circuit. It’s gonna be insane!
And then there’s the atmosphere. Bangkok is already a city that pulsates with energy, and now you’re adding the roar of F1 engines and the excitement of a global sporting event. It’s gonna be a celebration like no other, with fans from all over the world converging on the city to witness history in the making. I can already picture myself in the grandstands, surrounded by a sea of screaming fans, feeling the adrenaline surge as those cars fly past.

But it’s not just about the race itself. It’s about what this event could do for Thailand. It’s about showcasing the country’s vibrant culture, its dynamic economy, and its passion for innovation on a global stage. It’s about attracting investment, boosting tourism, and putting Thailand on the map as a world-class destination. And that’s something I can definitely get behind.
So, what are my predictions for this Bangkok Grand Prix? Well, I predict that it’s gonna be a wild ride, with plenty of twists and turns, both on and off the track. I predict that there will be crashes, there will be drama, and there will be those “holy shit” moments that make you jump out of your seat. But I also predict that it’s gonna be a huge success, a spectacle that will capture the world’s attention and solidify Thailand’s place as a global player.
I’m calling dibs on the first pit stall. Hook me up with a VIP experience that’ll make me feel like I’m part of the action, whether it’s a meet-and-greet with the drivers, a behind-the-scenes tour of the paddock, or simply a prime spot in the grandstands with a cooler full of Singha. Let’s make this happen!
